Jun 10, 2016 Chrome won’t work if you require Internet Explorer to access an old website that requires Internet Explorer 6 or ActiveX controls, but most modern websites are likely to work better with Chrome. You’ll still need IE for some older sites–this is why IE is still included on Windows 10, even though Microsoft is pushing Edge. Internet Explorer on a Chromebook? January 25, 2012. Enjoy flexible access to Windows applications (e.g., Internet Explorer) and desktops on Chromebooks and from any laptop, smart phone,.
I will be getting a new laptop in the next few days with Windows 8 but I don’t want to use Internet Explorer, I prefer chrome. Can I remove Internet Explorer and download Chrome with no problems?
A straightforward, flip-up control board supplies a 50mm, mono LCD present, with rather unappealing font styles, bordered by seven membrane layer buttons, consisting of three soft secrets to the right as well as the power switch at bottom left. The switches are remarkably delicate, and also it’s almost like utilizing a touchscreen, though with more positive feedback. 2 LED indications reveal cordless connection and ePrint enrollment.
Thanks, Terry
No,because Int Explorer is shipped with windows(inbuilt). It is ntecessary for connecting to the web.But you can use Chrome along with Int Explorer with no problems
You felt more reliability and ease using chrome than IE.
If by uninstall, no. Just leave it alone and install chrome I suggest.
Hello, you can disablel internet explorer if you like but you do not have too. You can disable it by using the 'turn the windows features on/off' located in the Programs and features section.
You do not have to disable internet explorer in order for you to use a different browser. You can just download your browser of choice an install it. Only thing you have to do is make sure to set your browser of choice as default, that way internet explorer will not open as default.
Of course you can, you can keep both browsers as well and make Chrome as default browser.
No, You can't Remove intenet explorer but you can disable:
Try this:
(1)press F1 on desktop
(2)in search box type'turn windows features on or off'
(3)click from 1 answerread it and follow, you can also any other windows features off.
You can install chrome on windows 8 and after than you can use it as a default browser and launch it in a windows 8 mode.
My advice, don't get windows 8.. its horrible
It's like a hub of answering community. It's like infinite loop of answers even after the issue is resolved. Terry Brock told that his issue is resolved but every one is posting irrelevant answers. Please stop it. I also recommend Terry to mark the question as Solved. Thanks
You should never disable IE (not matter how much you hate it) because it is used as a core part in windows, especially Win8 with so much on the framework using IE..
You can use chrome as a default browser.
Personally I wouldn't remove IE, it might be needed some day for proper displaying and using a website. IE 9 still is the most compatible browser with the sites that are prepared for IE 6-7-8 etc. Just install Chrome and set it as default if you prefer it.
You don't need to remove Windows Explorer. Just install Chrome and you are good to go !
You can remove IE under control panel -> programs and features and click turn windows features on or off. From there, you can choose to un-check IE and it will uninstall.
However, I do recommend you keep IE and just set Chrome as your default browser as some applications do require IE. If you are wondering, setting another browser as the default other than IE will disable the metro version of IE (it won't run unless IE is the default browser again). Oh, and the uninstall method works on Windows 7 as well :)
obvious we can do it....!!
There is a way for sure...
You can't remove IE from Windows, but you can disable it and then you can use Chrome as a default browser.
you could, but it better just turning it off (cause some windows application will affectted by it)
I don't think there is a possibility of uninstalling IE on Windows 8. Even if there is, it might lead to other issues. The best would be for you to download another browser and make that the default one.
only you can install safari pr any other browser and make it the default browser instead of IE but uninstalling IE is not option
you can just ignore it by just removing it from the start menu and task bar and setting chrome as your default browser. You will never even know IE is there.
To remove internet explorer, To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, follow these steps:
Exit all programs.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Programs and Features.
In the Task pane, click Turn Windows features on or off.
In the list of windows features, click to clear the check box next to Internet Explorer 8.
In the window that opens, click Yes in response to the warning message. The system restarts after Internet Explorer 8 is uninstalledDon't try to remove IE. It just makes a mess of things!
Instead, Install Chrome and make it the default browser. It will ask yo to do that as part of the installHi all I thought this would be the case leave it and ignore it.
Thanks
Item resolved
Thankyou all I assumed this would be the case

Removing Internet Explorer it's not possible, but you must use it to download chrome, after that you can set it as default explorer and forget about IE
why remove? just set it as default browser
or you can do nothing about IE and just download chrome and make it default browser.
yeah i agree.no need to uninstal internet explorer, it can always be an alternative
You cannot uninstall ie but install chrome or firefox and make them default browser.
Since explorer is a microsoft product you wont be able to uninstall. And it's fair enough. But all you can do is download Google chrome from the explorer and make it your default browser. If you want explorer out of your sight just go to control panel and on the left navigation click Turn off windows features. Uncheck the Internet explorer and reboot. You're job is done.
yes you can replace IE with any browser you like that is compatible with Windows 8
all major browsers support win 8 now .no we cant remove internet explorer but u can use crome as a default browser and also into the crome you relaunch as a windows 8 mode.
You cannot uninstall IE since it is a feature in Windows 8, you can turn it On or OFF
1) open control panel in Windows 8
2) Go to Programs and features
3) On the left side choose Turn Windows Feature On or Off
4) Uncheck Internet Explorer 10, wait the action to be finished and rebootWait I through MS was done with putting crapware in windows, that you can't get rid of without hacking.
Windows is shipped with windows software and true many of these cannot get rid of because windows OS is designed to work with them a skeleton and windows must offer a way to get connected with outside and this will be with IE, prior windows 7 Microsoft used to offer online onecare or check update which could only be done via IE, uninstalling IE is not an option only deactivation is offered.
Yes, you can and here is how: http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/how-to-get-google-search-and-google-chrome-on-windows-8
Personalize Microsoft Edge for safe and fast web browsing
• Microsoft Edge uses AdBlock Plus to help block unwanted ads. Visit Settings > Content blockers to turn on.
• With Reading view you can reorganize content on a webpage to make it easier to focus.
• Try out Microsoft Rewards. Sign in with your Microsoft account, and search on Bing to rack up points and redeem them.
Save your passwords and save time
• Your passwords are safer with Microsoft Edge. Allow the browser to remember passwords, and you'll save time when you revisit Favorites.
• With Microsoft Edge, it’s easy to find and manage your content with Favorites. Plus, you’ll find Reading list, History, and Books all in one place.
• Search fast and type less. Take a photo (or use an image on your camera roll) and try Camera search for fast results. Or, try Voice search to search the web. With Voice search you can ask a question or speak a prompt to search the web in more natural, familiar ways.
• Link your Android phone with your Windows 10 device and then >seamlessly sync content (like webpages) between devices.
Keep your browsing secure and private
• Your favorites, reading list and passwords are safely and securely synced across your devices, for a personalized browsing experience.
• When you use InPrivate tabs, your browsing data (like cookies, history, autofill information, or temporary files) isn't saved on your device after you close all your InPrivate tabs.
